Job description
Urban Life Solutions is currently looking for a Recruitment / Health & Safety Coordinator to complete all full-cycle recruitment and H&S activities. This role, primarily based in Edmonton (Nisku), will be responsible for assisting all regional offices. The ideal candidate should enjoy recruitment and working independently in a dynamic setting.
Recruitment Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee and complete all stages of the recruitment life cycle from creating job descriptions to onboarding new candidates (job postings, interviews, offer letters, training requirements, conducting new hire orientation, etc.)
- Other administrative duties as required from Urban Life Solutions
- Practice continuous improvement in reviewing company practices in terms of recruitment & selection processes
- Participate in workforce planning initiatives with all departments
- Provide excellent representation of the ULS brand through direct interaction with candidates, clients and the public
- Maintain relationships with related learning institutions and agencies
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain all client relationships
Health & Safety Major Responsibilities:
- Onboarding new team members
- Ensuring all safety regulatory requirements are being followed and administer warning as necessary
- Maintaining personnel safety files & track safety statistics
- Lead investigations and inspections and implement corrective actions
- Completing safety documentation for contracts
- Administer WCB claims, light-duty procedures and return-to-work programs
- Lead all Joint Health and Safety Committee initiatives
- Act as a resource for all employee related safety questions and matters
Basic/Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of human resource experience, preferably in a recruiting/talent acquisition role
- 3+ years of experience providing H&S support in a workplace setting
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources or similar field
- Comprehensive knowledge of H&S related legislation, acts and standards in the province of AB
- Strong familiarity with OHS and WCB administration
- Experience in developing and executing recruitment strategies is preferred
- Expert at producing quality reports and documents
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Driver License (Class 5 GDL or Full)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the landscaping industries is an asset
- Ability to take direction, give direction, learn and work independently as well as part of a team
- Punctual and dependable
- Motivated and energetic team player with an attention to detail and great work ethic
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
